Ehlams was founded by Layla Ahmed, a passionate advocate for preserving Sudanese culture through fashion. With a deep-rooted appreciation for the artistry of Tobes, Layla brings years of expertise in textile design and cultural studies to the business.
Inspired by her own family’s traditions and the unique stories woven into each garment, Layla launched Ehlams to share the beauty of Sudanese attire with the world. Her motivation is to empower women through fashion while celebrating the timeless elegance of the Tobe.
